Shane Boyce

Shane Boyce is a member of the Design / Sale’s Landscape Team at Rice’s Nursery. He has over 12 years experience in the green industry and is always trying to learn new ideas and concepts to apply to projects. He spends most of his time designing and estimating residential and commercial landscapes. Shane has a passion for landscape design and really enjoys the relationships that are built and the challenges of the design process.

Little Known Facts

• God, my wife Tia, and daughter Emma are the center of my life.
• When not at work, I’m usually perched 20’ off the ground, bow in hand, in pursuit of the “wall hanger” or drifting aimlessly across the lake with my dad catching everything but walleye.
• I am not a big fan of roller coasters, but once rode every single one at Cedar Point to impress my girlfriend, now wife.

Education and Job Experience
Shane has been part of the “Rice-A-Roni” force for 7 years. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Landscape Horticulture from The Ohio State University and his associate’s degree in Landscape Contracting and Construction from The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute. He is an Ohio Certified Landscape Technician (OCNT) through the Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association and is a Landscape Industry Certified Technician in both Softscape and Hardscape Installation through the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET).
