Kevin Rice

Kevin Rice is one of our Landscape Architects in our Design/Build landscape group and Vice President of Rice’s Nursery and Landscaping, Inc.  Aside from assisting clients with their landscaping needs he also is part of the management team developing new areas of business and assisting others to better serve our clients with the best quality, innovation, sustainability and creativity.  Problem solving and creating functional, aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces and landscapes for his clients is his passion. 

Little Known Facts

• I love to spend time with my family and being involved in their activities at school, sports, snow skiing, traveling, outdoor adventures, etc.
• I enjoy growing vegetables and experimenting with different plant types such as hot peppers, tomatoes, etc.   
• I also enjoy designing and implementing house improvement projects and restoring Willys Jeeps & trucks (with a lot of help).

Education and Job Experience
Kevin has been part of the business most of his lifetime except for his 7 years in Columbus, Ohio where he earned a BS in Landscape Architecture from The Ohio State University and then took a 3 year position with Scruggs and Hammond Landscape Architecture and Planning.  He has over 20 years experience and is an Ohio registered Landscape Architect, Landcare Network Industry Certification and is a master Ohio Certified Nursery Technician.

Giving a little back
Kevin has served on the ONLA certification committee for 8 years.  He is also on the Monticello Homeowners Associations Architectural Review Committee.  He is actively involved in the Canton City Schools IlluminARTS program, Arts in Stark campaign for 2012 and an alternating usher and Sunday School teacher at Christ Presbyterian Church in Canton. Kevin also serves as the assistant den leader for den #6 pack #35 of St. Paul’s in North Canton
